Here you will find out more about the initiative to improve Tibbs Road.

About 13 years ago, Dan Ryan Homes and the property developer broke ground to begin what is now known as Summerfield Townhomes. Tucked directly behind Cheat Lake Elementary School, Summerfield consists of 88 homes. We realize that a new development means more traffic. And due to this increased traffic, there is a greater need for regular road maintenance. Road maintenance ensures safe travel, extends the lifespan of the infrastructure, reduces vehicle wear and tear, minimizes accident risks, and ultimately contributes to higher quality of life by facilitating safe and efficient passage for both pedestrians and vehicles.

Neglecting road maintenance can lead to increased costs for repairs, traffic disruptions, and potential safety hazards.

The Summerfield Homeowner's Association Board of Directors is committed to not only improving the quality and safety of Tibbs Road for its homeowners, but for all neighboring HOAs, homeowners, and services.

The first step in successfully improving Tibbs Road is to make contact with neighboring HOAs and residents to form a committee. This committee will work together to ensure all of HOAs and homeowners' interests are represented.

The next step as a joint committee is to conduct research and identify available resources at the state, county, and local level to contribute to the improvement of Tibbs Road.

This page will serve as a space to provide additional information regarding these efforts.
